Field Trip to the Woodmere Art Museum

Every year we venture over to the wonderful, local Woodmere Art Museum and experience "Artists at Work, A Children's Day at the Museum."  As always, the girls were insightful, engaged, and inspired.  This year they had the wonderful opportunity to learn how art is made from the artists themselves.  First, we met with Batik artist Laura Pritchard. Then we witnessed Paul DuSold work on an oil portrait of a classmate.  Finally, we were inspired by the printmaking of Shelley Thorstensen.  She created the piece below for our class to enjoy.
