A Message from our Communications and Marketing Department

Please know that Springside Chestnut Hill Academy places tremendous value in our communication between home and school. The primary method of sharing information with parents about important events and programs is our weekly Virtual Mailbag (VMB). Please be sure to refer to this electronic newsletter, sent on Friday afternoons, for all-school information (found on the landing page) as well as information specific to your daughter's grade level and slideshows of school life (found on the Lower School page).

BLUE & GOLD DAY 2016-2017

What does Sportsmanship mean to you?

SKYE – Sportsmanship is if someone lost you would give them a hug and a high five.

ZIYA - Sportsmanship is helping each other even if they aren’t on the same team.

LEELA - If the gold Team won they wouldn’t be like “Ha! Ha! We win!
You lose!” That would not be sportsmanship.

SAMMY – Sportsmanship means to not tease when you win and to congratulate when someone else wins.

LILIANNA – Let’s say if you’re on the Gold Team and one of the Blue Team girls fell down, you would say, “Come on!  Get right back up!”

KENDALL – Although you are not on the same team you can still be friends. And if your team lost, you should just say, “Good game!”

SOPHIA M. – What it means to me is being kind.

ROLLINS – It means if the Blue Team won and the Gold Team came over and congratulated them and everybody hugs.

BRIDGETTE – Sportsmanship is that we cheer each other on and we say, “Good game!” No matter what team they’re on they can all still be friends.

SOPHIA K. – What sportsmanship means to me is not making fun of the other team if they lose a race.

HELENA – It’s being kind to someone who doesn’t win so we won’t make them feel sad.

ALEXA – Don’t make people feel bad that they lost because next time they might win and you don’t want them to tease you.

VIVIAN – SCH is about having fun but also learning.  Sportsmanship means if you lose at something you don’t feel bad because you tried your best.

ISABEL – Sportsmanship is, to me, is having gratitude.
