Dear Parents,
Please stop by the lobby of the squash courts at 12:00 PM on Friday, November 20 when Springside will “Flip the Switch” on its new solar panels on the roof of the Vare Field House. We have recently learned from the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability that our new 92.4kW system is THE LARGESTsolar array in the city of Philadelphia! Springside is clearly a significant partner in Philadelphia’s quest to be one of America’s greenest cities.
The installation of the solar panels is emblematic of a school that has been dedicated to environmental stewardship for decades. It is the culmination of hard work and visionary planning of many people, including the Class of 1966, the 2008 Parents’ Association fundraiser “Enlighten Springside,” and other generous friends.
If you can’t join us at “Flip the Switch” next Friday, please visit the permanent display and kiosk that will be set up in the field house explaining the importance of this project.
Warmly,
Priscilla

A Message from our Communications and Marketing Department
Please know that Springside Chestnut Hill Academy places tremendous value in our communication between home and school. The primary method of sharing information with parents about important events and programs is our weekly Virtual Mailbag (VMB). Please be sure to refer to this electronic newsletter, sent on Friday afternoons, for all-school information (found on the landing page) as well as information specific to your daughter's grade level and slideshows of school life (found on the Lower School page).
