A Message from our Communications and Marketing Department

Please know that Springside Chestnut Hill Academy places tremendous value in our communication between home and school. The primary method of sharing information with parents about important events and programs is our weekly Virtual Mailbag (VMB). Please be sure to refer to this electronic newsletter, sent on Friday afternoons, for all-school information (found on the landing page) as well as information specific to your daughter's grade level and slideshows of school life (found on the Lower School page).

Upcoming Events

Math Mornings for Math Games
Charlie Grogan has developed a CD of Math Games for every family in Lower School. These games have been designed specifically to complement the Everyday Math program at each grade level and can be used for reinforcement, support, and challenge. Charlie has set aside a Parent Math Morning for 2nd grade on Thursday, January 21.

Family Pizza Night: Friday, January 15
Come and enjoy pizza, a home basketball, and at halftime “Teachers’ Challenge” featuring some of our very own Lower School teachers: Ms. Grady, Mrs. McRae, Mrs. Daley, and Ms. Posner!

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service: Monday, January 18
In Lower School, the day starts at 9:00 AM. For grades 1-4, there will be pizza at 11:00 AM and dismissal at 11:30 AM. Grades 1-4 produce sumptuous dinners complete with mashed potatoes, green beans, meatloaf, and a special fourth grade dessert. Over 100 dinners and laminated placemats go to Aid for Friends, an agency that serves over 2,500 homebound elderly.
